"As long as you shoot for fun you will never work a day in your life" -Joseph Llanes
So far that is exactly how I feel!
Ok so...it's never easy to write about yourself, but here it goes. I crave creativity like chocolate. If life gets busy and I haven't had a shoot, painted something, rearranged my loft, or moved one of my hundred house plants to a new location I definitely feel like something is missing. Getting bored isn't something that I feel very often. I've always loved creating anything visually interesting or appealing. When I finally picked up a camera I had actually been working in a photography studio for 5 years as a creative director; designing sets, decorating the studio, and also assisting with lighting, posing and wardrobe planning for the two photographers I worked with. My best friend is also a phenomenal photographer and she and I have had many photoshoots together, and she taught me a ton too. I've been involved in the photography industry so much in the past that when I finally learned how to work the settings on my camera it all came really easy for me to "see" my shot. When I'm not creating you will find me either traveling with my husband, who is a touring musician in the band The Cadillac Three or I'm wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket with my fat cat and sweet old lady dog watching Netflix documentaries...and when I'm lucky my husband is home too.
