A little about me? Well, I guess I’d say I’m pretty multi-faceted... I began training to be a dancer at the age of 3 years old and have enjoyed dancing and cheerleading competitively through my middle and high school years. In 2012, I was honored to accept a position as a dancer for the NHL’s Nashville Predators Energy Team and was an active member for 5 awesome seasons!
I also experienced some success in the pageant world holding the titles of Miss Black Teen USA, followed by Miss Tennessee Teen America 2004, and Miss Tennessee National Teenager 2005. In 2008, I stepped out of TEEN competition and into the MISS arena, where I took the title of Miss Spirit of the South (’08) and Miss Country Music (’09), ultimately finishing in the Top 10 at Miss Tennessee USA. I’m a huge scholarship pageant supporter, because they encourage women to have brains and not just pretty faces (also because I made $90,000+ in scholarship money for college – what’s not to support about that?!).
In my spare time, I devote my energy to sharing about my humanitarian effort with the Fiji Humanitarian fund (#ProjectRefresh) addressing the world’s clean water crisis, in addition to promoting education and dispersing clothing for needy families. And in 2018, I decided to try another hand in the entrepreneurial world by starting a business with Modern Nature, a naturally based hair care line that is both organic and cruelty free!
