About Lucid Linds
“I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of other women. I feel like we are all in this together, if I can help women chase their dreams and live their best lives, in return they are helping me do the same. It’s a win win.” -Linds
“Working with Linds was so completely painless & easy! It was like we had known her forever. Linds is such a sweet down to earth person. She coached us & told us exactly what she was wanting us to do for each picture. The pictures turned out amazing! I can't wait to work with her again in the future! She ROCKS!”
-Carly Lee, Urban Mills Boutique Owner/Retail Manager
My Business Side:
I’ve always been someone who craves constant creativity. Creating unique and visually-inspiring spaces led me to set design, so in 2012, I assisted my older sister in starting a boudoir photography studio. Over time the position as “set designer” turned into on-set pose coaching, lighting assistant, and tons more. Besides these important skills, starting that business with my sister taught me 2 things: Being an entrepreneur is not easy, and neither is being a woman in a man’s world.
After 5 years of working inside of the boudoir photography studio, I learned what my tastes and styles are for my own photography. Since then, my focus is branding, advertising and creative commercial photography for female entrepreneurs. I have also created two new out-the-box programs helping business owners market and advertise on social media as it has become “the way of the world we live in now.” Did someone say, “Instagram”?
I combine my love for set design with my love for creative photography in my studio in downtown Nashville, but I travel too. Whether I’m shooting inside my studio, standing at the top of a waterfall, walking down the infamous Broadway here in Nashville or shooting in a sandstorm atop a sand dune in Death Valley National Park (it was dreamy…and sandy!), all I ever want to do is get “that shot”. My constant need to create and the ability to help women reach their goals leads me to believe that I have found exactly what I was meant to do and I simply couldn't be happier.
My more personal side:
Things I love: my musician of a husband, my aging cat and dog, my 100+ plants, design sets, and obviously my camera. I'm a bit of a workaholic, but creating is what fuels me everyday. I try to practice gratitude daily for how lucky I am to get to do what I love for a living, but wish I would get my butt on my yoga mat more often than I do! There are only a few things I really loathe: winter, when someone suggests I can't do something, and when I forget to charge the battery for my power drill. 3 phrases my friends use to describe me are: “curiously creative”, “honest” (sometimes to a fault) and “driven” (also sometimes to a fault). Thanks friends...I think? Ha!
